Senior Research Project Advising

Please note that Research Assistants cannot help with writing of the senior project, full data analysis, or editing of the project. Their role is only to provide preliminary support and guidance. If you need more intensive or detailed assistance, you must contact a faculty member.

Internships and the Senior Project are two significant requirements for graduation. The Senior Project is a Capstone course that requires each senior to prepare a research paper or project of not less than 25 typed pages during the senior year. The paper or project must be evaluated by a jury of the faculty and must be given a passing grade (“C” or better) before the student is allowed to graduate.

To help student successfully complete this capstone requirement, FMU Psychology Research Assistants are available to help students throughout the process. The Research Assistants are available for help with basic statistical consultation, the identification of appropriate measures, preparation of literature reviews, and providing examples of projects and oral presentations from previous semesters.
